Huntington High is opening Snow White this week for a limited run. This version is a one act children's show based on the familiar fairy tale. This production is the 1st semester project for HHS's theatre classes.
The show is directed by Helen Freeman, and features both new and old faces.
Snow White is played by newcomer Hilary Cornell. While the Prince is played by HSM's own Elliott Imlay.
The Seven Dwarves are played by Hailey Bellomy, Sarah Clark, Sara Wolfe, Alli Knight, Deidra Blackburn, Josh Adkins, and Sable Blevins. (I'm sure you recognize a few of those names.) Sable won best supporting actress in the state last year and Deidra won an all state actor award as well.
There are two school shows this week. Public performances will be Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm. Adult tickets are $5 and students are $3.
This is a great show for children especially under for those under the age of 12.
Stephen, thanks for the info - I didn't realize the show was running this weekend! I just saw Helen this evening and she gave me a poster! I'll copy this on the main page to help put out the word. And you're right, quite a few of those cast members - namely Elliot, Hailey, Sarah and Sara - were in High School Musical. Talk about a quick turnaround! So who's playing the evil Queen?
the queen is being played in two parts...one by student teacher Sara Meadows as the beautiful but angry evil queen, and the other by Helen Freeman as the wicked old woman who ultimately....well you know the story.
