Birbiglia achieved comedy cult status in 2006 with the nationwide release of his Comedy Central CD, Two Drink Mike, and the accompanying Comedy Central sponsored Medium Man on Campus college tour.
For the past 7 years, Mike has toured the country honing the act that made him one of the youngest comedians to ever appear on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Mike is a talk show regular and the star of two Comedy Central Presents specials, but what has truly galvanized his fan base is his "Secret Public Journal," a weekly blog that he emails to 30,000 fans and broadcasts to millions on the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show. These personal, autobiographical diary entries, which evoke the nostalgic tone of David Sedaris and the relatability of Bill Cosby, have defined Birbiglia’s public persona.
