Here's the rundown for shows being presented this weekend, along with shows coming up in the near future - and a list of upcoming auditions.

ONSTAGE THIS WEEK
- DRUNK Oedipus Rex - Kanawha Players presents Sophocles' Famous Work, but there is a catch. The audience will choose one of the actors to be the evening's "sacrifice" for the God of Wine and Joy, Dionysus. The poor actor will have several drinks before the show and during the performance. A hilarious drinking game for all. Must be 21 and over to participate. Togas are optional. The play will be presented April 13 at the Empty Glass at 410 Elizabeth Street in Charleston.
- Laughter is the Best Medicine - MOST (Mostly Over Sixty Theatre) present the comedy at the Alban Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, April 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m., and matinees Sunday, April 15 and 22 at 2 p.m.
- Disney’s Camp Rock the Musical - Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the musical on April 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and April 22 at 3 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Mainstage in Pikeville, Ky. Tickets are $9 to $14.
- Murder and Merriment (Interactive Murder Dinner Parties)

UPCOMING LIVE THEATRE
- As You Like It - Marshall University presents the play by William Shakespeare on April 18, 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. Uncertain of their standing in court and fearing for their lives, Rosalind and Orlando are forced into exile in the Forest of Arden, only to become entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust, and mistaken identity. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for faculty and senior citizens, and $7 for children ages 5 to 12.
- BOOTS - The Contemporary Youth Arts Company (CYAC) presents the original drama by Dan Kehde about love, hope and racism in the hills of West Virginia in 1957. It’ll be presented April 19 - 28 at the Charleston Town Center.
- Hairspray - Huntington High School presents the musical on April 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at the school auditorium at 1 Highlander Way.
- To Kill a Mockingbird - Actor’s Guild of Parkersburg presents the play based on the novel by Harper Lee on April 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. and
April 22 and 29 at 2:30 p.m. at 724 Market Street.
- My Fair Lady - Charleston Light Opera Guild presents this beloved musical at the Charleston Civic Center Little Theatre on April 28, May 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:30 p.m. with matinees on April 29 and May 6 at 2 p.m. All tickets $25 available now at charlestonlightoperaguild.org or at Civic Center Little Theatre Box Office starting April 25 open Wed-Sat 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 hour before performances. - Shrek the Musical, Jr. - The Paramount Players present a one-hour version of the musical based on the animated film on May 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Ky. Tickets are $9 in advance and $11 at the door.
- Shrek the Musical - First Stage Theatre presents the musical based on the animated film on May 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m., May 5 and 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Huntington High School’s auditorium at 1 Highlander Way. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and kids under 12.
- Alchemy Cabaret - Alchemy Theatre Troupe's very first performances is a cabaret to introduce their troupe to the community. Enjoy an evening of American songbook and musical theatre standards. This kick-off event has limited seating - only 75 per night! It'll be presented May 18 and 19 at 8 p.,m. at Huntington’s Union Pub and Grill! Tickets are $25 each. There will be a cash bar.

AUDITIONS FOR:
"The Full Monty" (Musical)
The Charleston Light Opera Guild
Additional auditions will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at the Guild Theatre. Special needs are singing actresses to portray roles from ages 30-55 and an actor singer to play Noah "Horse" Simmons (a retired African-American mill worker age 50- 70 with a baritone voice range and some social dance moves.)
All roles are still open and auditions for such will be honored. These include 11 men, 8 women and one boy to play age 12. Check the Guild's web site charlestonlightoperaguild.org or phone (304) 545-6945 for additional information.
