(Full disclosure time: this is about a show I'm directing.)
Auditions are being held this Friday for the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
It's a show I directed about 15 years ago - it was so much fun that I've been itching to tackle it again!
So we'll hold auditions on Friday, June 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church at 5747 East Pea Ridge Road in Huntington, W.Va.
The show is being produced by the Pea Ridge Players and it’s an “all-ages” production. Auditions are open to everyone in the community, from children starting in the 1st Grade next fall though Senior Citizens (there is no upper age limit). We encourage families to try out for the show and be on stage together – we have lots of roles to fill!
The musical was created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and is based on the classic story from the Bible. The show will be staged August 24, 25 and 26 at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church.
Those auditioning may arrive anytime between 5 and 9 p.m. Be prepared to sing a 30-second selection from a song. An accompanist will be provided.
The musical will be directed by Chuck Minsker with music director Mark Smith and choreographer Denise Juan.
