There are several great shows on the way this weekend, including two versions of the same show (in two different towns).
Here's the rundown:
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Curtains Up Players presents the musical based on the classic fairy tale at the Jeslyn Performing Arts Center at 1030 4th Avenue in Huntington. It will be presented March 8 and 9 at 8 p.m. and March 10 at 2:30 p.m.
- The Secret Garden - 5th Avenue Theatre presents the musical based of the classic novel. It follows a young English girl who is sent to Yorkshire to live with relatives she's never met. Her life blossoms when she discovers a secret garden. Shows will be presented at the City Hall Auditorium March 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and March 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Her life blossoms when she discovers a secret garden. Shows will be presented March 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and March 10 at 2 p.m. at 1117 Lawson Street in Portsmouth, Ohio.
- The Hobbit - The Children's Theatre of Charleston presents a musical based on the classic book by J.R.R. Tolkien. Follow Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the wizard and 13 dwarves as they journey on a quest that includes a confrontation with a dragon. The show will be presented at the Charleston Little Theatre March 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. and March 9 and 10 at 2 p.m.
So get out there and see a show or three - your community theatre groups need your support!
