Duck for President?

We love to brag on our local performers making their mark in the theatre world!

Congratulations to Susan Leist, who grew up on stage in Huntington with First Stage Theatre and HOT (to name just two) - these days she works at theaters around the country, and right now she's appearing in the play Duck for President.

She plays "Pig" (that's her at the top center in the photo above) in the play being presented by the Lexington Children's Theatre.

The play is based on the book by Doreen Cronin with pictures by Betsy Lewin

Here's the synopsis: Our furry and feathered friends from Click, Clack, Moo are back, and this time, they’re taking on the political system! Tired of doing chores all day on Farmer Brown’s farm, Duck decides he’s going to take over - but he doesn’t stop there! Follow Duck, Hen, Pig and Cow on the campaign trail as they set their sights on the Oval Office, and learn that running a country may even be harder than running the farm!

Shows will be presented at the theatre at 418 W Short Street in Lexington on April 10 at 2 p.m., April 16 at 2 and 7 p.m., and April 17 at 2 p.m. The show is recommended for ages 4 and up. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students.

Congratulations, Susan - we're proud of you!
