Love, LOVE...did I say LOVE the plays in addition to the musicals from First Stage. I'm a huge muscial junkie but it's amazing to see the talent so many of these youngsters have in the pure "acting" arena. There are added benefits too which I've witnessed. After Samantha was Wilbur in Charlotte's Web she had to take a reading assessment at school. The test was orginially given before she auditioned for the role. Anywhoooooo....wtih in that 3 month span of studying lines her reading level improved 2 GRADE LEVELS!!! Her teachers and I were amazed and Samantha was quite proud of herself. Research has shown reading fluency increases with repetition. This was proof in the pudding....or in Wilburs case...the mud! :)
Now I suppose she must learn braille....she's the Blind Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach ..hahaha

Ha! It's going to be a great show - it has a fantastic director and two people are serving as co-producers. One is Becky Craig, and the other is... oh, what's his name? Some homely guy who's always blogging. I'll think of his name in a minute. ;-)
