On Stage This Weekend - Wonka, Detroit and more!

   On stage this weekend - lots of great shows:

- Willy Wonka: The Musical - HART presents the classic musical based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl on July 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27 at 8:30 p.m. Gates open for picnicking at 6:30 p.m. Children's Preshow "Adventures in Storyland" at 7 p.m., "HART's Superstar Preshow" at 7:30 p.m. It will be presented at the Ritter Park Amphitheater at 1310 8th Ave. in Huntington. Tickets are $15 Adults, $10 Children, $20 reserved Seats, Group Rates Available.

- Detroit - Appalachian Artists Collective presents the play by Lisa D'Amour July 11-12 at 8 p.m. at the Alban Arts and Conference Center at 65 Olde Main Plaza in St. Albans, W.Va. Tickets are $15 Adults / $10 Students/Seniors.

- Peter Pan - Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the musical July 11 and 16 at 8:15 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Theatre Ampitheatre at 121 Theatre Court in Prestonsburg, Ky. Tickets $12.50 - $22

- A Second Helping: The Church Basement Ladies Sequel - Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the musical July 11, 12 and 18 at 2 p.m. and July 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Theatre Mainstage in Prestonsburg, Ky. Tickets $12.50 - $22

- South Pacific - Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical July 12 and 17 at 8:15 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Theatre Ampitheatre at 121 Theatre Court in Prestonsburg, Ky. Tickets $12.50 - $22

- Children of Eden - The Aracoma Story presents the musical loosely based on stories from The Bible. Shows run through July 26 at 8:30 p.m. at Chief Logan State Park, Little Buffalo Creek Road in Logan, W.Va. Tickets are: adults $12, seniors $10, children (3 - 12) $8.
