On Stage This Weekend: "Our Town"

As best as I can remember, Our Town was my first staged play (as a member of the audience). I was amazed, seeing my friends on stage at Hayes Junior High, putting on this amazing, thoughtful and moving performance.

That was the last time I saw the show (I'd rather not think about how long ago that was), so I'm really looking forward to seeing what ARTS does with the show!

It's the story of an American family, told in a unique format, using a minimal set. The focus is on the story and the characters.

It's taking the stage in Huntington this weekend - and if you want to take advantage of the dinner offered, you'd better get your reservation in - Saturday's dinner is sold out!

Here's everything you need to know about the play:

   Our Town runs January 30, 31, February 1, 6, 7 and 8.

Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m. Sunday Matinees are at 2 p.m.

General Admission tickets are only $15. Dinner and show tickets are available for Friday and Saturday shows for only $30.

   The menu is:
ARTS House Salad w/ Raspberry Vinaigrette
Glazed Game Hen in Fresh Cooked Greens
Carrots and Wild Rice
Dinner Roll
Apple Pie with Cheddar Cheese Slice

Dinner is available by reservation only by calling 304-733-2787 and leaving a message.

Dinner seating is limited and will sell out, make your reservations today.

Seating for the show is very limited. The only way to guarantee your seat is to secure your ticket early by making dinner reservations, becoming a season ticket holder, or by purchasing your tickets online at artstristate.org

Act today, don't miss your chance to see Our Town!
