On Stage This Weekend

   There are lots of great shows on stage this weekend! Here's the rundown:

- Seussical: The Musical - HART in the Park presents the musical based on the books of Dr. Seuss. Shows will be presented on July 30 and 31 at 8:30 p.m.  Gates open at 7 p.m., the Children's Preshow at 7:30 p.m., show starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Ritter Park Amphitheater at 1310 8th Avenue in Huntington. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children and senior citizens. Group rates are available.

- Disney's Beauty and the Beast - the Charleston Light Opera Guild and The Clay Center present the beloved musical on July 30, Aug. 5, 6 and 12 at 7:30 p.m., and July 31, Aug. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. at The Clay Center at One Clay Square in Charleston. All tickets are reserved - $25 each.

- Disney’s High School Musical - the Paramount Players present the musical on July 30 at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland.

- The Wizard of Oz - Southern Coalition for the Arts presents the musical on July 30, 31 and Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. and Aug. 4, 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coalfield Jamboree at 308 Main Street in Logan. Tickets are $12 each with group rates available.

- 9 to 5 - Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the musical on July 29 and 30 at 8:15 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Ampitheatre in Prestonsburg, Ky.

- The Aracoma Story - the classic story will be presented July 30 at 8:30 p.m. at the Liz Spurlock Ampitheater at Chief Logan State Park in Logan, W.Va. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $6 for children.
