A Short Delay...

OK, I know I said I'd have the results today of our informal poll about your favorite shows, but between live-blogging the Tonys and keeping up with real-life stuff, I'll have to postpone it until tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

I agree amigo mio, if it hadn't been for "Spring Awakenings" and Christine Ebersole, the whole show would have bordered on snoozefest. Usually I watch the Tonys and after seeing the musical numbers and clips from plays have this overwhelming desire to jump in a plane and head for the Great White Way (I mean, who could DRIVE there these days?). But had no such complusion this year. And the Neilsens seem to agree...both Tony (Soprano) and Tony (Parker of the Sant Antonio Spurs) kicked the stuffings out of the Tony Awards. "Young Frankenstein" can open none too soon.

That's the amazing thing - the Tony Award broadcast should be a three-hour-long advertisement for Broadway, but this year's show - except for "Spring Awakenings" - just wasn't inspiring. I definitely expect "Young Frankenstein" to sweep the Tonys next year!
